Dear Internship Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in our Dietetic Internship Program.  This Medical Center offers three different internship tracks:

• The COMBINED VA DIETETIC INTERNSHIP - Master of Public Health track,  21 months in length, full-time beginning in September 
• The COMBINED VA DIETETIC INTERNSHIP - Master of Science in Nutritional Science track, 24 months in length, full-time beginning in June
• The NON-DEGREE DIETETIC INTERNSHIP track, 11 months in length, 32 hours per week, beginning in June

The MPH component of the Combined MPH track is completed at the University of California Los Angeles in the School of Public Health, Community Health Sciences Department. 

The MS component of the Combined MS track is completed at California State University, Long Beach in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The supervised practice curriculum for all 3 tracks is the same: a general program providing experiences in administrative, clinical and community dietetics.

We have up to 4 slots for the combined program tracks (MS or MPH), and we have up to 7 slots for our non-degree internship track.

We have an open house scheduled for December 17, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. and January 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please contact me for instructions. Prospective applicants are always welcome, so if you are unable to attend these dates, please contact me to schedule another time.

Application materials, including materials to be sent to UCLA, must be postmarked no later than February 15, 2008. Application materials sent to CSULB must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2008. PLEASE DISREGARD THE APPLICATION DEADLINE STATED ON THE UCLA and CSULB WEBSITES.
