Here at the WLA/UCLA residency we have a mix of native Angelenos as well as out-of-staters. This year’s class originates from California, Massachusetts, New York, Michigan as well as Puerto Rico. We bring together a diverse background and set of interests which we hope you’ll ask us about when you come and visit.

Los Angeles offers numerous cultural experiences ranging from The Getty Center to the numerous ethnic neighborhoods. Not a weekend will go by without some part of the city waiting to be explored. Los Angeles is also a fantastic location for outdoor activities including: surfing, hiking, biking, and just a few hours away is some of the best skiing in California.
