VA Santa Barbara Community-Based Outpatient Clinic Normal Hours Flash Flood Jan 10, 2018: 2:30 pm The debris flow in Montecito and parts of Carpinteria has left a small community devastated. There have been several deaths, several missing, and over a hundred individuals injured. We continually thank and praise the amazing work of our first responders, Coast Guard and healthcare professionals during this difficult and challenging time. Here are some additional updates regarding the flash floods and their impact on staff and Veterans. VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System Update: • All CBOCs, Ambulatory Care Centers and VA West Los Angeles Medical Center are open. SB CBOC is open for care and has supplies needed for care. Mandatory evacuation orders are in place to the area south of SB CBOC. Currently, SB CBOC is not in an evacuation zone. VAGLAHS will continue to monitor and assess the situation and provide updates as they occur. • Contracted Silverado shuttle service for Jan 10 was cancelled for the San Luis Obispo/Santa Maria/Oxnard CBOC due to the 4-hour delay getting to Sepulveda ACC and WLA. VAGLAHS will monitor the road closure situation to determine if we have to cancel for tomorrow, Jan 11. Santa Barbara County Public Health shared an update at 10:00 pm Jan 9: • All evacuation areas are shown on the County’s interactive map. • Portions of the 101 Freeway is closed between Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Caltrans states the Highway 101 will remain closed till possibly Monday, Jan 15. • Montecito is currently without power, under a boil water order, and has had natural gas shut off for most parts you can find more information on gas shut off: https://t.co/LACu9KVXIW • An Evacuation Shelter has been set up at Santa Barbara City College gym. • A family assistance center has been opened to offer help to those impacted or to help reunite family members who may have been separated.
