GOAL

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and affiliated universities throughout the nation offer specialized training programs in geriatric healthcare in order to prepare the health professions for the increasing number of older patients with multiple, complex health problems.

OBJECTIVES

Training objectives are determined by each discipline's accredited program and progress is evaluated by field supervisors.
