VAGLAHS hosts 4th Annual Veterans Stand Down

 

LOS ANGELES – The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) is honored to host its 4th Annual Veteran’s Stand Down from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018. The Stand Down connects Veterans experiencing homelessness to a permanent housing program, immediate interim housing and supportive services to improve their health, access to income, and overall wellbeing.

What:

VAGLAHS hosts its 4th Annual Veteran’s Stand Down event at its WLA Medical Center campus.

When:

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018

Background: The event presents a safe time and place where Homeless Veterans can receive critical services for housing. The Stand Down is made possible through VA’s collaboration with many community partners including government agencies, volunteers, non-profits, businesses, social service providers, and faith-based organizations. The Stand Down is a significant symbol to the Veteran community as it represents the fourth event to ever take place at VA West Los Angeles. More information at www.losangeles.va.gov/standdown
